Filmmaking is my life. It’s the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do and I can’t imagine ever doing anything else for a living.
I’m a freelance HD video editor based in the East Midlands. I’ve been freelancing for over a year and for the two and a half before that I worked for Finishing Post Creative Ltd. as one of their editors, doing both offline and online editing on an Avid Media Composer system. I became experienced on a wide range of projects from shopping TV and direct sales commercials to conferences and corporate films, working creatively as well as learning about the technical requirements of broadcast video.
I also have a great passion for drama and I have directed (as well as edited) several short films, taking second place in the BritFilms.tv 24 Hour Film Challenge with my 3 minute comedy “Serious Movie”. My main suite is a Final Cut Pro system, though I’m equally at home using Avid Media Composer and from time to time use Adobe Premiere Pro. I also have a mobile Final Cut Pro machine for on-site editing.
I specialize in tapeless HD workflows, and have worked with footage from a wide variety of cameras including the Canon DSLRs, Sony XDCAM cameras, and the Panasonic HVX-200. However I also have experience with DVCAM, Digibeta, BetaSP and HDCAM footage and can hire in decks for these formats when required.
